Micro-School & Home School Support
Welcome to ThePEMS education support program! We are dedicated to transforming education in our community by supporting innovative micro-schools and our homeschooling families. ThePEMS is able to add unique and enriching curriculum with classes like Tai Chi/QiGong, Movement Medicine, Breath Work/Meditation, and Gardening, fostering a love of learning in students. By donating, you help us provide these valuable experiences, enabling children to explore their surroundings through conscious learning @ ThePEMS retreat.
ThePEMS is part of the curriculum @ The Gathering Place, a micro-school for girls and offers classes such as gardening and breath work/meditation. The students come to ThePEMS conscious learning space for the classes.
ThePEMS supports Colossal Academy, a micro-school for middle and high school students, by adding diverse classes to their curriculum such as 'Medicine Movement' and QiGong/Tai Chi. The students come to ThePEMS conscious learning space for the classes.
Craft Work
Found objects from the ocean and in nature are used to make wind chimes. The art of paper making, mural design, and basket weaving are all part of our classes to choose from for your student.
'Growing Souls' Gardening Classes
ThePEMS master gardener is Sadiqa Williams-Gusman. She teaches land lessons, helps children and teens see the connection between plants, animals and humans, and is knowledgeable in different ways to grow food, food preparation and our native eco system. She is the teacher of ThePEMS 'growing souls' and offers classes and workshops for all ages, along with classes for mom & sprout.
Fall & Winter Gatherings for Families
When the weather cools down join us in ThePEMS garden for live music, afternoon picnics, sound baths and drumming circles.
Pre-pregnancy, Pregnancy & After Delivery Nourishment
ThePEMS offers workshops and seminars to prepare the woman's body for pregnancy through cleansing, nutrition & movement, during pregnancy by eating for each trimester according to baby's development, and after delivery with continued nutrition for mom, classes on infant massage, and special monthly memberships & classes for mom and sprout.
